Privacy policy

3D Chess, by FRACTALON LIMITED. Last updated 18 October 2026.

This policy explains what the 3D Chess game (the Android app and the web version at chess.fractalon.net) collects, why, and who else receives it. FRACTALON LIMITED is the data controller. Contact us at support@fractalon.net.

No account, no name

3D Chess has no sign-in and asks for no name, email or other details. Your games, settings and progress are kept on your device.

What we collect

DataWhenWhy
The moves of finished gamesWhen a game against the computer ends.So the computer opponent learns which moves work. The game is sent without any account, device ID or name, and cannot be linked to you.
The position on the boardDuring a game, when the computer looks up which moves have worked before. To answer with advice for that position. Nothing else is sent with it, and it is not stored.
IP addressWhenever the game talks to our server. To answer the request and to limit abuse. It is not stored with the games.

Purchases

The Full game purchase in the Android app is made through Google Play. Google processes your payment details; we never see them. The app receives a purchase token, keeps it on your device and uses it so the purchase is delivered once and can be restored. See Google's privacy policy.

Advertising

The Android app shows ads from Google AdMob between games and when you choose to watch one to unlock something. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, information about your interaction with ads and diagnostic information about the app, to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time from Ad privacy choices in the game's menu. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. Buying the Full game removes the ads between games. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. The web version shows no ads.

Who else receives your data

We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Finished games are kept as anonymous move statistics for as long as the game runs. Because they are not linked to anyone, they cannot be found or deleted for a particular player. Uninstalling the app removes everything kept on your device.

Deleting your data

  1. On your device: uninstall 3D Chess, or clear its storage in Android Settings › Apps › 3D Chess. This deletes your games, settings and progress.
  2. Advertising data: in Android Settings › Google › Ads, reset or delete your advertising ID. AdMob data is held by Google under its own policy.
  3. Anything else: email support@fractalon.net with the subject "3D Chess data deletion". We reply within 30 days.

Finished games we have received are kept as anonymous move statistics with no account, device ID or name, so they cannot be traced to you and are not deleted. Your Google Play purchase record is held by Google.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask about, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and complain to a data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). Email us to use any of these rights.

Children

3D Chess is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes
